The relative importance of agriculture in the Luxembourg is still decreasing. Small farms have given way to farms of 50 hectares and over, which represent more than half of the active farms. The farms are concentrated in the North and also the East of the country which is, with the banks of the Moselle, an important wine-growing region. More than 50% of the active farms specialise in the breeding of herbivores.
This part contains data on agriculture itself, viticulture, sylviculture, hunting and fishing. The data comes from STATEC surveys with farms and businesses (areas, livestock, workforce, equipment) and from administrative sources such as the Ministry of Agriculture (production).
